Clear Ecology was commissioned by a local planning consultant to undertake protected species surveys, habitat surveys and the design of mitigation strategies including habitat creation for a proposed scheme in Stockton upon Tees near Newcastle.   

Protected species surveys were undertaken for great crested newts, birds and bats.

Following the confirmed presence of great crested newt populations adjacent to the site Clear Ecology prepared a mitigation strategy for a large population.
