- Clear Ecology has recently been asked to undertake a 10 year Woodland Management Plan of Astley Park in Chorley, Lancashire. The project involves undertaking a wide range of surveys including Great Crested newt, water vole, reptile, river corridor, tree surveys and an extended Phase 1 in order to write a woodland management plan for the park. This plan will aim to increase habitat diversity, improve the health and safety of the woodland and increase biodiversity for the park and the local area.
- Leicester City Council commissioned Clear Ecology to undertake a range of surveys on 8 sites across Leicester that was proposed for redevelopment in a partnership between the Council and the Football Association. Surveys undertaken included establishing the impacts of floodlights on potential bat populations and phase 1 habitat surveys.
- Clear Ecology undertook a feasibility study for Derby City Council that assessed the possibility of flooding sections of the Markeaton Brook in order create wetlands that would increase biodiversity, protect areas of the city from flooding and reduce siltation of the river. A notable species considered in relation to this study was the White Clawed Crayfish.
- Clear Ecology was commissioned by Leicester City Council to undertake an ecological scoping assessment of an old school in the city that was due to be demolished. Stage 2 work included undertaking watching brief of the felling of trees on the site during the breeding bird season.
- NHS Primary Care Trust Development-Clear Ecology undertook an Extended Phase 1 habitat survey, Reptile Survey, bat tree assessments and watching brief of site clearance in relation to the construction of a new Primary Care Trust Facility in the rural town of Ashbourne in Derbyshire.
- Yorkshire Water-Clear Ecology were subcontracted to oversee a project that involved Bat Tree Assessments and Great Crested Newt Surveys in order to allow the diversion of pipelines and the construction of a new pumping station near Chester.
